This conflict can be found on page 1-9 in "The Goal - third revised edition". Alex found himself in the middle of battle between being successful at his job and save the company from shutting down or being successful in his personal life and save his marriage.

In order to Self-fulfillment I must Prevent the shutting down of the plant and in order to Prevent the shutting down of the plant I must Spend time trying to figure out how to save the plant. But, in order to Self-fulfillment I must also Prevent a divorce and in order to Prevent a divorce I must Spend quality time with Julie. I can't both Spend time trying to figure out how to save the plant and Spend quality time with Julie.
