I have a shipment that is about to be missed. We need to contact the customer and let them know that we are going to miss the shipment, however company policy states that only the account manager can call the customer, I am the production scheduler.

D: break the rule and tell the customer myself.
D': Wait on the account manager to contact them per company policy.
B: make the shipment on time.
C: to follow company policy
A: Improve customer service

But, in order to Improve customer service I must also to follow company policy and in order to to follow company policy I must Wait on the account manager to contact them per company policy.. I can't both break the rule and tell the customer myself. and Wait on the account manager to contact them per company policy..
