My team has discovered major bugs in the core module created by our vendor, ITC. This bug will negatively affect business performance as soon as the the integrated system is installed. My team feels this problem can't be resolved by working with ITC nor should it be reported to senior management.

D: Make the project manager aware of the issue and contact ITC to have them fix the bug.
D': Not tell the project manager or contact ITC.
B: Hold ITC responsible for the bugs in their module and bring awareness of the issue to the project manager.
C: Ensure the project manager can focus on other projects that are falling behind schedule and are over budget.
A: Successfully install a fully operationalized APS system on time.

RelationAssumption(s)Injection(s)
D-D'1. These appear to be mutually exclusive.
2. There appears to be insufficient resources/time to achieve both B and C.
The both of them are able to be achieved
B-D1. The project manager needs to know about any possible delays so he/she is not blindsided by it later.
2. The contract clearly specifies that ITC is responsible for any defects in the module.
1. The project is successfully installed and operationalized on time without contacting the project manager, we fix the issue and successfully install the system on time without him/her ever knowing.
2. The project is successfully installed and operationalized on time without contacting ITC, we as a team fix the bug from ITCs module instead of them repairing it.
C-D'1. If the project manager isn't aware of the issue then he/she can continue to focus on other projects.
2. If the project manager isn't aware of the issue then he/she won't have to contact ITC about the bugs and can continue to focus on other projects.
1. Telling the project manager about the issue.
2. Telling the project manager, but having the team contact ITC instead of him/her.
A-BThe project manager needs to be aware of any issues we experience and ITC needs to fix the bugs so the system can work properly. The bugs can be fixed by our team and the project manager doesn't have to know about the issue in order for it to be installed successfully,
A-CHe/she needs to focus on his/her other projects and so if we run into any last minute issues, he/she will have time to help us then.We don't run into any last minute issues and don't need his/her help at all.
