In order to increase the sales of the company I must decrease the lead time to process a batch and speed up order for customer and in order to decrease the lead time to process a batch and speed up order for customer I must cut the batch sizes in half on the bottleneck machine . But, in order to increase the sales of the company I must also keep the bottleneck as efficient as possible and in order to keep the bottleneck as efficient as possible I must not cut the batch sizes in half on the bottleneck machine . I can't both cut the batch sizes in half on the bottleneck machine and not cut the batch sizes in half on the bottleneck machine .
Relation | Assumption(s) | Injection(s) |
D-D' | there is only one batch size on the bottleneck machine | they can not do both ways, they should stay with the one that create an improvement |
B-D | 1.) that would improve the issue of cash flow | cash will go be tied up to other things other hand inventory |
C-D' | 1.) there will be less set ups 2.) machine is not going to work at his full capacity 3.) employees will not produce as much as they should | if they spend more time working and the machine work more time, then they will not produce more and the capacity will be higher |
