D-D'There is no way to keep the existing hour times and have the machine work at all times.1. If there are other policies implemented that would allow us to utilize the bottleneck capacity without having to implement the change in policy.
2.If there are two teams capable of doing set ups then you can have them come at different times allowing the company to eliminate that idle time on the machine which would allow the lunch breaks to be spread out.
3.If Alex can hire workers who are not unionized then he can create his own policies with them.
B-DBy doing so, I will allow the machine to run at all times making the company more profitable while still giving employees there break times. The D-D' approach might have loopholes at the time of doing a contract. Going through loopholes might have negative consequences that may violates the need in C.

A-BUniCo has a bottleneck machine which can be used to a greater potential and increase profit.Another suggestion by Alex and Jonah is to substitute the bottleneck with the older equipment. If the alternative of implementing the old machine is workable, and provides the enough capacity to remove the bottleneck then there will not be a need to change the lunch break hours.
A-CHaving a satisfied labor force while allow the company to be profitable. If the labor can be substituted by more automotive machines the company will be less dependent on its employees.
